How We Work

We depend and rely on the ecosystem to help source, screen and select grant recipients.

Submit an Idea:

Anyone can submit an idea. Simply email us at dana@tugg.org. It is important to identify a contact person for the organization or initiative. Someone from TUGG will contact you within 48 hours.

Screening Process:

TUGG reviews whether a submission meets our criteria:
(1) The organization/initiative must be New England-based;
(2) The organization/initiative must foster entrepreneurship, education or life experiences for young people in local under-resourced communities;

(3) TUGG’s contribution must provide material impact and as such we favor start-up organizations and social innovation. We leverage our “steering committee” for the screening and selection process.

In the near future, we will launch a community voting system as part of
TUGG.org to augment the screening and selection.

Funding process:

TUGG will award grants on an as needed basis. We expect to fund 12-15 organizations/initiatives a year at a maximum grant of $20,000.
