TUGG has teamed up with BostInnovation and Boston Cares to host New England’s first annual “Tech Gives Back” Day on June 9th, 2011.
How to get involved?
We have identified over a dozen projects across the city of Boston and need help in assembling teams of volunteers for projects which include: planting gardens, working soup kitchens, cleaning parks, helping at inner city schools and painting community centers, among others, in the city’s under- resourced communities.
- Designate June 9th as your company’s day to give back to the community and pull together a team to work on a project of your choice from 11am until 4pm.
- After a day of service, join TUGG, BostInnovation, event sponsors and volunteers at 5pm for an epic party hosted at the CitiCenter in Boston’s theater district for food, drinks and live music. The party is free for all participants.

Tech Gives Back (TGB) has three over-arching goals:
1. Catalyze a movement
500 individuals from the tech start-up ecosystem contributing in a day of celebrating and giving back to Boston.
2. Bring attention and visibility to the community efforts of the tech ecosystem
Mayor and Governor support, local/national press, and an integrated social media strategy.
3. Build camaraderie and fun
A setting for people to meet, greet, work and party alongside other start-ups, entrepreneurs, VCs, execs and local non-profit organizations.
Come see award-winning singer/songwriter Will Dailey perform at the Tech Gives Back party at the Citi Center for Performing Arts.
